"attending the quiet lectures of the stones..." my best friend took me on a hike last week to introduce me to a giant larger-than-life stone who makes her cry when she visits with him.

That's beautiful! Thank you for sharing this, Elena.

I'm happy for your friend to have this stone in her life, and for you, too, now that you know him :)

dear justyna,

thank you for this offering, and this question: "What makes you feel cosy?"

things that make me feel cosy include:

-- tea

-- my girlfriend

-- teddy bears (specifically, ones named "fudge" and "daisy" and "stuffles" and more)

-- blankets

-- books

-- alternate spellings of "cozy"

thank you for sharing!

much cosiness/coziness to you!

love

Thank you for sharing! I like the balance of themes you have there

The first two are on my reading list!

For me, it's currently "The life of the Buddha" by ven Bhikkhu Ñanamoli, "The Wild Edge of Sorrow" by Francis Weller, "To Bless the Spaces Between Us: The Book of Blessings" by John O'Donohue

And I'm trying to decide what to read next, the list is, of course, only expanding hah

Wow these two expressions of rocks in your photo, are quite something. A friendship forged in fire. Somehow Prometheus comes to mind.

Thanks for sharing something simple as a fear of cold; (I too know it )

Start with a discomfort, which to the extreme can become deadly and through simple and real examples, we can all relate to (like hot or cold, wet or dry, high or low., dark and light....somehow it can be easier or maybe softer for us to deal with the duality we all tend to live within.

Warm woolies, a good scarf and a nice warm , clean home can help us believe in ourselves and our capacity to deal with life. Friends, philosophy and spirituality; From the simple to the complex or paradoxical, the road winds on ˜˜˜˜˜ we know there is movement; we feel it and know it to be true. Thanks so much

Thank you so much for this beautiful reflection. I love how you describe “a friendship forged in fire”—it’s such a vivid way to capture the resilience of rocks. And Prometheus, what an interesting connection—perhaps a reminder of how we find light and warmth through discomfort?

Your thoughts on duality really resonate. There’s a lot of truth in how small comforts—warm woollies, shelter, and companionship—can ground us amidst the extremes of life. And yes, the journey does wind on, from the simple to the paradoxical, carrying us through all the contrasts we face.

Thank you again for sharing this with us. It’s given me a lot to think about!

Woooooop! For me, this was a good reminder about the seasons changing and how nature finds ways to embrace this change. I also have struggled with the seasons changing. What i didnt know consciously till you spelled this out is how somehow activities slow down internally to pick up quiet projects which now I see in recent years have been a product of the hibernating times.

Thanks and also glad that you're staying longer in Portugal and you found a better space! 💕
